Our goal for the mother/father and child Bible studies is to help point families to Jesus and instill in them a love for God and thankfulness to Him for the gift of His Son. Bibles and Bible studies for each age group will be given as a gift. The evangelism of children must be a priority of home and church. God has gifted some with special abilities to teach children, all believers have the assignment to live a godly life before them, tell them about the Lord, and love them. The gospel is to be given to all, and a response is required by all who are old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. Nowhere in Scripture is there the suggestion that children are incapable of responding to God or engaging in praise, worship, prayer, and thanksgiving.
According to the Department of Justice, studies indicate that children of inmates have a 70% chance of ending up in prison. This is not what we want as a society for these children is it? We're here to help see that children don't end up where their parent(s) is. Missionaries of Grace Ministries has a special program called All God's Children. This program can help change children's futures and break the cycle of incarceration. We encourage inmate moms and dads to participate in the program with their child through correspondence or visitations. A Bible study/story shared between parent and child is a precious time, especially when the study/story is from the Bible.
When children are enrolled in the All God's Children program they will learn that God cares about them and has a plan for their lives. They will learn that God loves them so much He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die for them, making a way for them to have a personal relationship with Him. Knowing God and learning to live His way will help them stay off the path that leads to prison and on the path that leads to a fulfilling life. Help break the cycle of incarceration for these children by helping them learn about Jesus now-before it's too late. The bad news is that these children are in a high risk group. 70% of them are headed for prison. The good news is that you can help change lives. The best place to start changing lives is to volunteer and help us to make a difference in a child's life together.
Jesus took a little child among them. Taking the child in His arms, He said to them, anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes Me, and anyone who welcomes Me welcomes My Father who sent Me. -Mark 9:36-37
